I was expecting him to pull a Clint Eastwood and start talking to the empty chairs...

I think shutting the country down is a big deal. I would think Trump has a lot riding on this, so much so that I think he was ill advised to play games. Lets face it his strategy isn't producing anything of substance. Nothing's getting passed but North Korean Missiles.

I invite you over for dinner at my house. Before you arrive I tweet that I do not expect to have a good time with you. Chances are, most folk would not show for dinner.

The fact checkers have already dismissed Mc Connell's remarks about no history of senators refusing to meet with a POTUS. Several instances of McConnel declining to meet or be seen with Obama.

Trump sets the tone and McConnell and " Nancy and Chuck" behave like a bunch of middle school kids. It's all about the drama, all the time.

No. It is hand to hand combat. Three dimensional.

oh, he's already blaming the dems for the shut down if it comes.

repubs have both houses of congress and the white house but can't get anything done and he blames dems.

what happened to that well-oiled machine he was boasting about?

this administration is totally dysfunctional.

It makes him look like an immature and un-serious leader. And your enjoyment of these kinds of show stunts instead of pursuit of real policy makes you look bad as well.

I think the plan was to let everyone know how hard this was going to be. "I don't see a deal." Then after the meeting he would announce that something was agreed on and show what a great deal maker he was. He still doesn't know the tools he is comfortable with in business are dull knives in politics.

Trump is playing 4D chess. He is always 2 steps ahead of his opponent. Love this dude.
