I saw the thread about Trump bringing up Warren and calling her Pocahontas which wasn't really appropriate, but not that big of a deal.

However, I read there was a portrait of Andrew Jackson up when he was honoring the Code Talkers.

Talk about clueless on that. What a colossal fubar.

Even better? That one was put up by Trumps specific request when he took office. Jackson is one of his heroes.

I agree. Whoever set the event up should have a better understanding of Native American history including President Trump. I also think had someone in the media not brought it up no one would have known about it, including the 90 something-year-olds being honored. It's just the media knit picking at one more thing but I happen to agree with them this time around.

I think every American Indian, including those being honored, have extremely, and well deserved, issues with Jackson.
