The ceremony could have been held in a monochrome and furniture free room and Trump's behavior wouldn't have changed. He's too much of a narcissist (combined with lacking class, and insecurity issues that, IMO, go even beyond his narcissism) to let the code talkers have their 'time in the sun'...and, his hatred of Warren (first reason that comes to mind as to why....she dares to criticize him) is strong enough, and his self control weak enough, that he whips out the 'Pocahontas' moniker. IMO, the blinding light of the show lights for himself and attacking a critic (Warren) push the cringe worthy nature of the moment (that is the take away for others) beyond his grasp.
