We are high earners near the top marginal bracket. We or course itemize, have a house, and claim state tax deduction. Living in coastal CA, my house is expensive. So I expect I'll get screwed under this bill, but then again screwing people in CA is a valuable aide benefit to conservatives in this whole thing.

To be fair, California deserves it.

Well, of course you say that. You're a conservative. I'm a financially successful liberal. You hate us and will welcome any misfortune that comes our way. And I pretty much guarantee you that today I already pay way, way, WAY more in Fed taxes than you probably ever pay in any one year of your life.

So naturally you will get off on a tax bill that exacts political revenge on people like me. I'd expect that of you.

Just be honest and drop the "to be fair" bull**** because we both know this is not about "fairness."

It's almost like you were targeted by the IRS for being conservative, or investigated by the DOJ for being a police officer doing her job. I feel so sorry for you.

And what the hell do I have to do with IRS targeting anybody or DOJ investigating police officers? You must be hallucinating.

The Tax bill called Obamacare is costing many of us thousands of dollars a year. You didn't seem to give a crap about that huge increase in taxes.
Yeah it is humorous to see liberals complaining that they think (highly likely erroneously) that they will have to pay higher taxes.

I know I will have to pay higher taxes; the plan is designed for political retribution purposes to target coastal communities in particular.

Also, I had to pay under Obama Care same as others did. You think my premiums have gone down over the years? They went up before O-Care; they went up during O-Care (and I bet you they'll go up some more after O-Care). At least I felt for that that we were on a path towards a setup where insurance companies can't screw people as much and many uninsured could get some coverage.

With the tax plan, I'll just be paying more for political revenge. And I paid over $130K just in federal taxes last year. Now tell me again how I'm a "mooching liberal." I probably put way more or my hard-earned cash into the pot year after year than you do.

I shouldn't have to subsidize your state's taxes so yes I'm happy about that. I paid $89K in FIT last year and I'll pay much less next year while you'll pay more which I have no problem with, you need to contribute more.

Better find your "safe space" soon.
Do you even know why democrats don’t support this bill. It screws the middle class. They look out for us while republicans look out for the rich. Where is your safe place going to be when you realize you have been a sucker.

Please... that's so weak. Reality is that I subsidize you.

I know you're telling me I need to pay more knowing that I already pay more than you, just for your churlish partisan troll purposes. But I can afford it at the end of the day, and I'll still be more successful than you.
