False equivalency. When Obama promised more flexibility, that was within the context of normal diplomatic negotiations. There was no quid pro quo. Obama had no personal stake in the outcome.
It is alleged Trump conspired with the Russians to hack computers, distribute stolen e-mails, disrupt an election. There may have been a conspiracy to lift the sanctions in exchange for cash or relieving Trump's debt to Russian oligarchs.
Obama was doing his job. Trump may be guilty of a crime.
Hey. what ever happened to those additional sanctions passed into law by Congress (with only five dissenting votes in both chambers) that Mr. Trump signed into law?
Flynn pleaded guilty to a process crime, not an espionage crime.
Another SPIN alert!
He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for giving testimony about officials in the Trump campaign. His motivation was a lesser penalty for himself and probably his son.
And Flynn has been charged and now pled guilty for conduct as part of the Trump campaign and administration, NOT as part of the Obama administration.
So Ty Cobb's attempt to deflect culpability back on the Obama administration just makes him and anyone who thinks this is some valid point look stupid.
