When will people finally start to see the relationship between progressive bull**** and the rapidly accelerating decline in many parts of the country? So many cities with massive illegal immigration problems, massive homelessness, huge welfare spending, massive and growing deficits, unsustainable population growth.

But people will just keep ignoring what is happening for the next shiny Trump or sexual harassment "story" that has no bearing on their life.

San Diego on Friday opened the first of three industrial-sized tents to house the homeless as part of the city’s efforts to contain a hepatitis A outbreak stemming from the deplorable conditions people were living in on the streets.

“Last Sunday, a homeless man high on drugs and with a bleeding hand ran into her apartment when she opened the door and locked himself in the bathroom. She and her six-year-old son ran out and called police. The man broke things in her bathroom, left blood stains on the floor and scared her.“

No one should have to live like that.

So basically it’s like a refugee camp.

Now you did it. Mightleavenyc will now have to resort to "alternative facts."

Dumbass conservatives have been beating this horse for a while not even realizing that San Diego is not LA or SF. It's gone Republican quite a few times historically and has quite a few conservative leaning communities. It's also a major stronghold of the US military, which I guess cons have now written off since it is associated with such an evil "liberal" city.

The main driver of homelessness in San Diego is (1) relatively high cost or living, particularly housing prices; and (2) favorable year-round weather.

I know he's republican. That is not relevant. These kinds of things are happening all over progressive cities like LA, San Fran, NY,... There is no republican influence in these cities. Look at how Giuliani had to hide his beliefs until he left mayorship. Your post just confirms my point that the American idiot public ignores these real long term decline in favor of nice sound bites and boring sexual harassment stories.

You conveniently forgot to mention proximity to Mexico.

I thought Duncan Hunter's wall solved that problem.

When we were in San Diego a few years ago the some bums could be fairly bold. They begged quite aggressively. And there were a lot of them. They had public bathrooms even then they could use.

The way to deal with these people is to tell them to move on. Cops used to "encourage" vagrants to get up, keep moving, until they were out of town. They used to congregate in railroad tunnels. I suppose now they could under highway overpasses.

Almost sounds more like a "FEMA" camp.

If things get too far out of hand, the occupants can be sterilized.......
