I was routinely schooled by democrat supporters here on the importance of the taxes. Shouldn’t we all expect them to write a personal check to cover the reduction caused by the evil Trump tax cuts?

I intend to keep this thread live until the tax season so that democrat supporters can post an image of their check.

Personally I would expect massive amounts of democrats and their supporters send in mountains of checks to prove Trump and Republicans wrong.

most of them here are living hand-to-mouth, paycheck to paycheck. They're struggling and have no idea how this tax plan works, I could almost feel sorry for them.

By all means, keep the thread alive until tax season.

"More than 60 percent of the tax breaks found in the Senate plan would eventually wind up in the pockets of the one percent. And by 2027, the average household in the top 1 percent would receive $32,510 under their bill, while 87 million working- and middle-class families would actually see an increase in their taxes."

Republicans' fiscal hypocrisy is fully on display in the tax bill

So you’re not going to sign up for Medicare when eligible?

50% of Middle Class Americans will get a tax increase due to this new bill.

This includes people from all political parties as well as non-voters. The pain is spread equally to the middle class.

But billionaires and large corporations are all getting massive tax cuts.

Yippee for billionaires and large corporations. They're "winning".

I will get a tax increase, and I already pay more than probably most conservatives on this board.

I'm a worker bee at a large corporation. I'll let you know in a couple of years if my salary has increased at the same rate as the corporate tax cuts. I'd be willing to bet my entire 401(k) that my annual 2% COL raise won't change at all.

So when your taxes increase, will you admit that you were lied to by Trump and his cronies?

I do not expect my federal taxes to decrease with this bill. I do expect all the rest of my taxes to increase.

There should be no more doubt about the way big wealth can bribe the Congress and how much of the Congress is taking those bribes.
