Considering they never want to marry the types of men that would make good fathers but always go after the overly cocky, overly funny, uber confident bad boy types, and then complain how men are no good, this would bark right up their alley.. but wouldn't it be easier for them to just get impregnated by the bad boys they love so much? These men usually have sex with 2-3 women at a time and go through about 12-25 per year.
I find more and more men around me simply ignore women because they are more trouble than they are worth, but that doesn't mean it's not hard to get pregnant. It's very easy to find a guy to screw them.
The process of reproduction without a male contribution, is called "parthenogenesis". There are some other species that may do it naturally. The offspring would always be female, but would not be identical to their mothers. It is not cloning, but works by getting the haploid (half) chromosomes of an egg to double into full diploid pairs, as they would be, if fertilized by a sperm. Those haploid egg cells from the ovaries, contain a random assortment of chromosomes, some of which would be recessive in the mother and not expressed in her own phenotype (physical state of being).

I'm not personally fond of bad boys, although I do like humor and confidence. The one thing I will say in their favor is that if they are bitter, they generally don't wear their bitterness on their sleeves. Given the choice between cheating, lying players and men whose envy of said cheating, lying players causes them to write off women in general as "more trouble than they are worth," I think I would just stay at home with a good book.
As to the original post, I think this is a horrible idea. Nothing good can come of attempting to make half the population essentially superfluous.

A good quarter of the population already are. Back in evolutionary times it was around 33% men to 66% women. There are too many men alive today which is part of our societal problems. The chinese killing babies who are female is about the dumbest thing they could ever do.
Also though I sound bitter I realize it's simple genetics that makes women drive towards these uber funny/confident men or makes them want to marry prison inmates before they settle down with an actual man who brings in good money and would make a good father but is otherwise boring. There's a reason men in prison who are barely 20 years old tend to already have one or more children. I just like to stir the pot on internet forums from time to time and yes that involves generalizing.
My problem with women is being super funny and super cocky, the breaking the ice part, yes. I have a good job, plenty of money, keep a clean home, and some stimulating hobbies, at least for me, but I'm not a social proofed, popular, uber funny guy which is number one on their list. I perhaps do still carry more bitterness than I know I should given my knowledge of evolution and genetics. I have the capability to transform myself into someone who's popular with women, but there's one problem.. I don't care, and super cocky women, the ones who make those kissy faces with slutty looking makeup in pictures, turn me off anyways. I'd just assume find one that would be willing to live in a shack in the middle of nowhere and homeschool the kids before i find a pop culture obsessed one worried about the latest new trendy thing, but there's many more men like me than women like that. haha.

I look forward to the day we can genetically enhance our offspring. We do have to be careful we create offspring that have a good moral foundation and aren't too ambitious, but to be able to eliminate congenial defects like heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, along with enhancing intelligence, physique, etc. is appealing to me. Combined with a good upbringing and they'd be superstars in life. Certainly more pleasant and socially well adjusted than I turned out to be.
It would also be interesting if we could enhance the immune system in such a way that they are literally immune from all disease, and immune to all chemical agents, like the botulism toxin, poison ivy, arsenic, rattlesnake venom, etc. Of course if a person drinks a gallon of bleach or gasoline, they are going to die no matter how good their immune system is enhanced. Chuckle. To be able to wander the rainforests of Africa completely immune to all agents that might cause harm would just kick some royal ass.

You might be right. Finding them remains a problem if we never go to places where we might meet. Naturally the most outgoing people who make the most noise get the most noticed. If you never leave the house of course you'll never meet anyone. Perhaps that's part of the problem for me. Living in Brookings, South Dakota.. in the middle of nowhere, also plays it's part.

I'm still waiting to hear why you think it's a good idea to have so many more women than men.
As for not going out, that is undoubtedly a factor. Thing is, I've done the go-to-the-clubs meet and greet thing. Truth? It's boring.
