Nope. Here is all you need to know about esteemed political liberal civil rights attorney and Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz. Just because you don't like what he says doesn't mean he is wrong.

Sore losers still rubbing their butts. Why don't you just sit back and enjoy a record stock market, record unemployment (in years), lower terror risks, fewer illegals, and an overall better country?

Go ahead, remove Trump from office. Are you prepared for the repercussions over it?

Were you in the booth with him? He's one of Trump's biggest apologists. He's been shilling for him on fox for months. Mar a Lago member, too.

His former associates don't know what happened to him.

So true. And now they are letting out leaks to the media that the president was warned about Flynn’s testimony to the FBI. They are really out of options here and are forced to confront/admit the president at least had knowledge that Flynn’s FBI statement was likely false way back in Jan...before Trump asked Comey “to go easy on Flynn”.

How do you curtail a botched damage control? Come clean as quickly as you can. At this stage, I’m not sure coming clean is good enough. I think Trump’s legal team probably realizes this. The damage is done. Invoking this defense theory, though unpopular, is probably the last of their remaining options. Sad.

An interesting (scary?) picture is starting to emerge with this legal theory coming from Dowd. I speculate Trump’s defense team had been aware of the legal hot water they were in even before the tweet. This may be their way of publicly admitting Trump had known about Flynn’s misstatements to the FBI back in Jan/Feb rather than letting Mueller’s team extract the information from the administration. It’s a PR stunt to minimize Trump’s appearance of culpability, which, unfortunately for them, has back fired. I’m not sure if Mueller forced their hands into announcing this publicly, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Flynn admitting to the media he is cooperating with the govt had forced Trump’s hands.

So now, Dowd is saying even IF the president had pressured Comey to look the other way or “go easy on Flynn” knowing that Flynn had lied to the FBI, the president still cannot be guilty of obstruction. This is getting into Nixonian territory. Mueller is damn good.

Those of us old enough to clearly remember Watergate can recall this famous quote:

Richard M Nixon: "If the president does it, that means it's not illegal."

History may not repeat itself, but it rhymes.

Didn't Nixon try the same thing?

Your point fails, absolutely.
You really believe Mueller doesn't have enough proof to take your President down? Seriously? Keep dreaming.
