Conservatives again demonstrate they just can't let it go regarding gay marriage

TRANSLATION: Why aren't the conservatives just knuckling under and surrendering like they used to?

I hate to say it, but conservatives won't be satisfied until there is a Putinesque anti-LGBTQ law in this country. Many would want to take it further than that. At minimum, they want gays in the closet, pride parades outlawed, and all positive mentions of homosexuality in the media banned by the FCC.

Conservatives have shown their willingness to support a pedophile. One has to ask themselves why? The reason is because to Christian fundamentalists, what Roy Moore has been accused of is a lesser sin than homosexuality. To them, homosexuality is the worst of the worst and is one of the few sins that invokes an angry God to wipe societies off the face of the planet. That is why they will not give it up.

"Small government" to most conservatives only applies to gun rights and cutting government services for the poor. When it comes to imposing their religious rules on society, the government cannot be too big.

While “regular” spouses receive them, so should gay spouses.

Of course, I think spouses should NOT receive benefits unless they either have children living at home under 18, care for a disabled person at home or are themselves disabled. If you can work but choose not to, you should not be eligible for spouse benefits via a public employer.

In the meantime, they should receive them.

This conservative has no issues with gay marriage or gay adoption.

Says who? The premise is preposterous. A marriage is between a man and a woman. This fad we have now will wither in time.

Once again, it’s still big government acting like a nanny to make such decisions. I’m surprised you liberals are so upset about government stepping in to see who can do what. Remember, it was the government not allowing gay marriage because some busy body thought government should be a nanny and oversee marriage.
