See my post above, the key here to competition for users with NN is your service will not be choked in favor of Youtube's or the ISP's. Without NN you can spend millions of dollars on servers and bandwidth all for nought if the ISP decides to choke your service.

Doesn't hold a candle to a POTUS threatening news media for daring to report on his unfitness for office.

Social Media has been told it either takes down extremist Islamic material and propoganda videos very quickly or it faces massive fines and actions by numerous Governments as well as the EU.

The use of live streaming by paedophiles is also an issue that Governments want to address.

Didn't you already prove your willful ignorance regarding the effects of Net Neutrality on this thread?

Net Neutrality is good for competition between content providers, period. It is bad for ISPs who want to stifle competition to promote their own content providers and charge customers more for certain services.

It's hard lesson to learn.

The irony of the post on this site is lost on the op.

Private companies can do what they like.

Sounds like a private business decision. Whatever.

Pure capitalism is the only answer.

They are weeding out violent extremists. No more Nazis, white supremacists, and hate speech. It's a good thing. They may have Free Speech protection from government interference or reprisal, but they are subhuman bastards and don't deserve a platform among decent people. These companies are not government entities and have the right to make their own business decisions, which I applaud wholeheartedly.
