He just announced his intention to resign.

In a "couple weeks".
Yeah, some are getting pretty excited, when he has not actually done so yet. It says something for him to have been able to express his being unfairly likened to those with much worse allegations and histories.

Yeah, that must be what it takes.

Reading through, there is so much hatred directed toward a man not really known, merely due to his being a Democrat. 😏

And I don't think he will resign. I think this is all for show, to provide a "distinction" between how the political parties are reacting to accusations with the purpose of helping Roy Moore's opponent. But, if Roy Moore wins as is expected, I think Franken will rescind his resignation cry and will vow to stay on so that he can fight people like Roy Moore

That’s some theory, not reality based but very exciting.

The Democrat machine does not care about morals. Franken became a political liability that hurts the party and had to go.

Morality had nothing to do with his resignation.

Al Franken for sure is more sick than we thought. Very sad and disappointing to hear his farewell speech!

Frankenstein is clueless and heartless! The Democratic Party must be happy with this type of person! Al is there to stay and get more attention to himself as a sexual abuser and sick, twisted mind!

"When are republicans going to do the right thing, or do they intend to?" is the question.
I don't expect them to. I asked this same question the last eight years concerning Obama and the wars. See, I expected him to do the right thing. He didn't. He did the opposite. Many of us were no longer going to accept this.

You don't expect those who don't even pretend to do the right thing to do the right thing.
