The Hill
Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn on Wednesday criticized President Trump, saying she doesn't believe he represents the country well.

She added that she hopes "to represent the people of the United States, not the president" at the upcoming Winter Olympics.

The skier also said she would not accept an invitation to the White House if she won another gold medal at next year's Winter Olympics.
Skier Lindsey Vonn: I don

Good for her, I agree 100%!

She either represents the country or she doesn't. If isn't okay with that, she should quit the team.

What athlete represents the President, any president? They don't. Not a smart statement on her part.

I agree she represents the United States and it is her right not to attend any white house event.

The President is one of the people of the United States, so she's really saying she hopes "to represent the people of the United States, except certain ones I disagree with or don't like for whatever reason."

She last participated in the Olympics in 2010.

The US Olympic Team is inseparable from the USA. Trump is the leader of the USA. Her only choice ,if she has any ethics, is to drop out.

She is going for a record so doubt she will pull out unless she is injured again and then she can stand on her ethics and decide to not participate.
