Here in upstate NY there are new factories opening up everywhere, with good union jobs paying $25/hr to start, plus full benefits and pension, with only a high school diploma required. There are literally thousands of these jobs waiting to be filled. Our local economy is on fire, and people are saying that it’s just like the good old days of the 1950s and 60s. Car dealerships are selling so many $40,000 pickup trucks that they are having trouble keeping enough in stock.

How much has manufacturing jobs grown in the Buffalo area in the past year? A whopping 0.2%. In fact, overall job growth in the area has been the weakest since 2009.
Hard for me to be offended when I'm still laughing at you taking personal offense to a simple three letter word!
Maybe we should petition the board mods to add the word "ilk" to the list of forbidden forum words?
