No, he looked at 50 years of failed diplomacy and decided to no longer waste time on the issue. Declare it and move on to other issues. And since Iraq has declared victory over ISIS, then hopefully the US can leave Iraq in 2018.

Every President before Trump knew all the facts when they made the promise. They never had intention of keeping it.

Jerusalem, east and west, was always going to be the capitol of Israel. Over the last 40 year, Israel's enemies have gotten weaker and weaker. The pathetic "riots" going on now are mere shadows of what the terrorists could muster before.

It's over. Jerusalem is the capitol of Israel and everyone knows it. Even the Arabs.
