No one who has posted here is a cop hater. Those officers should have cuffed him, there was no reason for the hokey cross your feet and crawl BS, this cop is a monster, the only thing I can think of is that he wanted to kill him. There is no way a rational Police Officer would ever have allowed this to escalate to the point where the guy was shot
I've read more into this story. The cop that shot the guy had "You're F**ked" etched into the side of his AR-15. He was itching to kill someone.
Some have argued that they made them crawl forward so that they wouldn't have to handcuff them in front of the hotel door since there could have been a shooter in there. This makes no sense because immediately after killing this man they clumsily try to enter the room with a keycard. If they feared that there was a shooter in the room, then they would have knocked the door down, not tried to use a keycard. The cops showed more concern for not damaging the hotel door than they did for the life of the man that they shot.
Can you please show us where, in any police manual or job application, it states cops must never, ever feel fear or any other human emotion? Can you? Are they robots?
They are human. Of course they feel fear.
DOH!
If the cop had followed protocol he would have cuffed both suspects while they were laying on the floor. What he did is absurd, I have never seen anything like it in my life. This did not need to happen, it never should have gotten to the point where a man's life depends upon his ability to follow this cop's orders which seemed to be changing every 30 seconds. One of the first things you learn in law enforcement is to keep it simple, you don't play a game of Simon says with a guy who is probably drunk. You get them to place themselves in a position where you can restrain them, you cuff them while the other officer covers you. If they don't comply you tase them you don't blow them up into little pieces for God's sake. What the cop did is absolutely inexcusable. Just think, every day police officers are able to arrest people who can't even understand english without killing them.
I think this cop was a thug who got beat up in the third grade and saw a career in law enforcement as his way to get even with the world.

Good point and you're right about the casual way they entered the room.
Gotta go with the boys in blue here . Who can blame them when they all live in fear because this Black Lives Matter anti-American crap is seeping through to these rotten young punks? Should have shot him 6 times.
How did he know he had been ‘reported’ as an armed suspect?
That's why the tactical team responded to the hotel. The suspect had been seen pointing a scoped firearm out the hotel window.
How does anyone fail to understand that when a suspect reported as armed makes a movement consistent with reaching for a weapon, the police are justified in shooting in self-defense?
Had the suspect not pointed a scoped firearm out the hotel window, none of what followed would have happened.
Is the death penalty in effect in Arizona for those who pull up their pants while being instructed to crawl?
How would the LEO know whether he was reaching to pull up his pants or reaching for a weapon? Guess wrong, and the LEO is dead. Hence, the justified shooting. The jury concurred.
The police had plenty of time to check him for weapons.
Not shown on the video. Looks like they were getting to that point when he made a movement consistent with reaching for a weapon and was justifiably shot. The jury concurred.
If this shooting was "by the book" then "the book" was written by a psychopath.
When an as yet unsearched and reported as armed suspect makes a movement consistent with reaching for a weapon? LEO shoots. It is by the book. Upheld in every jurisdiction.
Who told him he was reported as an "armed suspect"?
What did he think would happen when he pointed a scoped firearm out the hotel window?
