I used to think that, but I'm not sure any more. Republicans are starting to spin away from that stance; when push comes to shove I think they will stand behind Trump, because they are afraid of him and his fascist allies like Moore. As well as these guys.

When all roads lead back to the Clinton campaign, the DNC and a corrupt Obama justice department, there's no need to do anything except to wait for the house of cards to collapse on its own.
The only thing that could possibly save this attempted coup would be Trump firing Mueller.

Not worried, or hoping. Just observing. If you watch Trump carefully you will realize that he's actually very predictable. When he gets pushed into a corner (or he imagines he's getting pushed into a corner) he comes out with all guns blazing, destroying everything around him. That's what is going to happen with Mueller - Trump can't stand the idea of being under investigation, his ego is so fragile that he will do something as stupid as firing him. As another poster mentioned, one of his big worries is probably Mueller unearthing other skeletons in the closet regarding his businesses, not even related to Russian collusion. Maybe that explains his recent frantic behavior, who knows?

If he fires Mueller the investigation will still go on and Trump's administration will look even more guilty than they had before.

Yeah but it allows Trump to kick the can down the road until 2020. He'd rather not get re-elected than run a risk of getting impeached or having his dirty business laundry aired for the world to see.

I will again point to Kenneth Starr's investigation of Bill Clinton. How long did that last and what did he dig into? We already know how that ended up.
Mueller is still going. I hope he brings down the entire government because it all needs to be washed away. I believe Flynn is going open up big on the White House.
Here is the thing, none of us know what is going on. Mueller is till investigating and nobody knows what is going to happen next. So I will just wait for the next bombshell.
Flynn is over a barrel because he is trying to keep his son from being indicted, and since he has pled guilty to lying and everyone knows why he agreed to help the witch hunt, his testimony is essentially worthless.
As for Mueller, he is dragging his feet because he has nothing and doesn't expect to find anything.
The FBI is refusing to cooperate with Congress because they have their own secrets to hide.
It all goes around in a big circle and ends back at the DNC, the Clinton campaign, Comey, Mueller, Lynch, Bill Clinton and an assorted cast of bit players.
