MLK would have attended the event, he would not be afraid of President Trump.

I'll support this view, since I cannot rep you right now. MLK believed in dialog, talking, getting the heart of matters. It is why he is a true icon, not a false idol.

What's hard to understand for his supporters is Donald Trump has a long personal history with people in Washington, Hollywood, business circles and in legal affairs and he can't fool those people who already seen his colors thirty years ago. Many people dissing him today are not just dissing President Trump but that AH they met thirty years ago.
You cannot live in the past. What doe Lewis's "past" have to do with being an idiot today? Who cares if John McCain spent 5 years in a POW camp. What does that have to do with what he is doing today?

A civil rights museum is for EVERYONE. It is not for the blacks. Charlton Heston participated in those civil rights marches too. All people remember today is that he was an NRA supporter.

Lewis was one of the "Big Six" leaders of groups who organized the 1963 March on Washington, played many key roles in the Civil Rights Movement and its actions to end legalized racial segregation in the United States.
Thank you.

John Lewis is an American hero. He was beaten badly in Selma by Alabama Police for PEACEFULLY protesting black equality. John Lewis has done more for America than Trump could ever dream of.

Only a sleazeball like Trump would disrespect John Lewis... and the uneducated, mouth-breathing Trump supporters cheer it.

John Lewis?
  • Part of the Swamp in DC
  • His most recent failure was the stunning Democrat loss of GA06 which he played a huge part.
  • Said that Trump & Bush were not "legitimate" Presidents
  • Elected from gerrymandered GA district drawn to guarantee him the seat.
Beyond that, nothing of note. 1 of 6 residents of his district live in dire poverty and are faced with daily violent crime. Perfect example of a Democrat Plantation.

But...... He likes to entertain at the Capital.

John McCain is a republican. I am a democrat. I disagree with him on just about everything politically. But he is an American war hero and I respect the hell out of him. Why? Because I'm a decent person.

John Lewis is a democrat. I would expect that most Trump supporters would disagree with him on just about everything politically. But you would hope that Trump supporters would at least respect him for all the good he's done for racial equality over the last 46 years. However, many Trump supporters can't separate politics and decency and do not respect the good John Lewis has done for our country.

Why? Because most Trump supporters are not kind and decent people.

It actually would be more of a surprise that a Trump supporter had a real comprehensive understanding and knowledge of history or even today's current issues.

And Lewis has been leabing on that crutch for years. He has done NOTHING in 30 years as a public servant that has benifited the country or the common good. John Lewis is a racist and a loser.
