I used to live in Alabama. The photos in the article are completely dishonest. They obviously went looking for the worst possible area and shot pics there. But it's a dishonest portrayal. The vast majority of Alabama, even in the smallest rural towns, simply does not look like that.

Here is a Forbes article that shows that the poor in the US live better than the vast majority of people elsewhere in the world:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/timwors.../#1fcc225354ef

And most of the poor in the US, including Alabama, have cars, TVs, cellphones and an internet connection.

have been in control of Alabama from Day one until today. You can change your hat style or nametag but the deal is the same.

Alabama went Republican for ONE reason - bigotry (white supremacy)...which is, in effect, their religion.
Democrats were the party of slavery and Jim Crow.

Are you really this ignorant or are you just into spreading fake information??

The Democrats and the Republicans essentially switched platforms and base sometime during the Civil Rights. Democrats used to rule the South, now the Republicans do. Republicans used to be the party of Lincoln and anti-slavery, now the Democrats are for that.

Democrats now stood for equality, freedom, smart ideas, and forward-thing. What Republicans used to be a long time ago. If Lincoln is alive today, he'd be a Democrat.

WERE. not ARE.

Today, the Repubicans are the party who picked Trump.

a known Racist (2 court cases fined trump for trump's racist rental policies)
a known thief ( trump paid out 25 after his misled students with his phony school)
a known sexually assaulter (Trump admitted this on tape and has over a dozen accusers)

It certainly isn't fact, not to mention it just happens to be Alabama they decided to choose, not LA, MS, WV or any of the other states that are often on these lists. UN is pretty useless in my opinion, not that my opinion makes a hell of a lot of difference. If it wasn't for PR purposes I wish we would just pull out of the UN>
