The main problem is that the GOP is wholly dependent on passing it in order to get massive amounts of campaign money from the ruling class of America, the top 0.01%. They demand this bill. So what the public want isnt that important.
While Jones won't be seated in the Senate until 2018, and McConnell and trump want the tax bill passed before Christmas, does this big loss endanger trump's only piece of major legislation? Will trump's repudiation by voters in AL embolden any GOP members of Congress to back away from this toxic tax bill, a bill that is supported by only 29% of voters???
There are a lot of missing votes in Alabama.... Fraction voting, using computer programmed machines.
1.9 million people voted yesterday in Alabama. Only a little over 1 million votes were shown counted.
What happened to the other votes?
Over 5000 subcontractors and middlemen have the access to perform this for any or all clients. It can give contract signing authority to whoever the user chooses. All political power can be converted to the hands of a few anonymous subcontractors.
“It’s a product. It’s scaleable. It learns its environment and can adjust to any political environment, any demographic. It runs silently, invisibly, and can produce plausible results that really pass for the real thing.”
I think a few Republicans are skiddish. They remember how many Democrats were voted out after they voted for the ACA. Once they vote its too late and the other side has plenty of time to show how terrible the bill will be for the American people before the election comes. The one difference is those Democrats knew they were falling on their sword for the President. I am not sure how many Republicans are that devoted to Trump's agenda.

Trump was not repudiated in Alabama, only the deeply flawed candidate of Roy Moore was.
Susan Collins agreed to vote for the tax bill because she was promised that the Obamacare mandate repeal would be taken out of the final bill. That has not yet happened.
Jeff Flake agreed to vote for the tax bill because he was promised there would be new DACA (Dreamers) legislation before the final tax bill vote is taken. That has not yet happened.

Maybe if the main issue was taxes, you scenario would be a possibility - but Jones was elected based on sex and a third party candidate siphoning away votes. So the tax bill should proceed.
The tax bill will not please everyone. The question is will it be better than what we have now. It should definitely be simpler.

Jones got less total votes than did Jeff Sessions opponent, in his Senate run.
There are 600,000 votes missing in yesterdays vote. More people voted than ballots counted.

Just accept the reality that No Moore was the will of the People in Alabama and move on. There will be no recount per Alabama law and there is no reliable evidence of any wrong doing on anyone's part, so it is a Done Deal. Just Deal With It.

Because of Moore losing in Alabama? You actually think Moore losing has much to do with trump? You think that when when someone wins or looses a senate race it's because of trump?
