I, for one, would have never voted for him due to his extreme social platform and views. However, I live in NY and probably cannot relate to the people in Alabama when it comes to those (gay marriage, abortion etc).
I would hope he lost due to those views (being Jewish, pro choice and fine with anyone marrying) rather than 40 year old allegations. If there were newer allegations of sexual assault or pedophile tendencies than I would be more comfortable. Nothing. Nothing new.
So basically while half of the country thinks last night was a win I am still baffled. He did not lose because he thought non Christians were going to Hell. He lost because he may have been a perv 40 years ago.
We all still lost.

I would say that it was a bit of both. We don't need anyone on either side in office while under while they are under going an investigation of any sort.

He was already a divisive candidate as a true conservative christian with strong beliefs that many Republican weren't supportive of...however, had this fake perv stuff not come out, he would easily have won. We can expect next election cycle that many women will be paid to come up with similar accusations against other Republican candidates.

The outcome of this election was solely based on unfounded claims.

Would you feel that way if he had a (D) by his name? I bet you are STILL outraged at Bill Clinton for his unacceptable conduct with an ADULT 20+ years ago?
Safe to say hebephiles should have a statute of limitations on their behavior? If subject is a Republican, the statute of limitations should be 10 minutes, where a more liberal politician should have face the music over a peek at a Playboy 50 years earlier. Sound fair?

They did a survey, I.T was not the sex thing. I say his antiquated racist etc. ways shut him down. I hope Alabama gets a big message from this.

I would say it was the allegations, he was elected in the past in spite of his views of gays, Muslim and religion and being removed as a judge.

One thing that stuck out were the campaign crowds in the two camps last night, Moore's crowds was mostly elderly white male, Jones was a younger crowd with mixed race.

Did Moore concede yet?

It is amazing to me that the vote was as close as it was. If Moore wasn't so totally gross he would have won, morality carried the day!

I think both. The allegations provided a socially acceptable excuse for Republicans who already didn't like him to say no, thanks.
