It would be a shame if this scumbag doesn't serve any time .

New York City Police Department Chief of Detectives Bob Boyce said Friday there is enough evidence to arrest disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein for rape but quickly added no warrant has been issued and it's unclear whether there's enough to bring the case to trial.

Boyce explained that while “we have an actual case” and there may be probable cause to arrest Weinstein, there was not yet enough information to seek an arrest warrant.

Police do not make that decision, the District Attorney does. The DA has to have enough evidence to think they can convict. Boyce should get his butt chewed for making the statement.
Except, they may just be trying to put pressure on Weinstein, like the pimple that he is . . .

I hope they have enough to nail him. I know LA was looking at potential charges as well.

I hope he gets charged. Unfortunately that will not stop the damage he has caused. There are a lot of people who were trained by Weinstein and who view his bullying and abuse as how a boss should behave. These "mini-Harveys" will continue to prey on their employees long after Weinstein's out of the picture.

I bet the dems/libs would defend him and say that there wasn't any intent, like they did with Hillary.

Given the scale of allegations made against Weinstein, I think this was inevitable.

Weinstein may also face questions in London where the police are investigating 11 allegations made by 7 women, and are also now investigating a 2008 allegation regarding Kevin Spacey, and there a futher two allegations regarding British Models and magician David Blaine currently under investigation.

I do think Weinstein is a scumbag, but at the risk of being accused of not having two X chromosomes (I really do, but I also think that I don't have to stand behind every woman on everything she says---some women do lie), I don't know that this case is now proof of rape. The alleged victim claims to have perfect memory of every detail from seven years ago---but all it is is a claim. And perhaps the first incident where he transported her home and came up to her apartment was rape. But if it was, why did she have him come up to her apartment a month later? Supposedly he arrived at her building lobby after making multiple phone calls to her, with her asking him to leave her alone. She was "frightened" by him, so when he suggested they talk it over in her apartment, back up he goes and allegedly raped her again.

So a month later you let your rapist up to your apartment again? She says she was drinking, so I guess the implication is that she wasn't thinking rationally. I don't drink so admittedly I don't understand this level of getting drunk---but she had the wherewithal to get home but not to realize that the way to get rid of a guy you are frightened of who raped you 30 days earlier might do it again?

Her therapist says she recalls that the actress told her that Weinstein was making sexual advances multiple times with the promise of roles. Therapist recalls that the actress told her of a sexual encounter with Weinstein in 2010 with "intercourse that left her feeling victimized." ??????? Left her feeling victimized seems to me to be different than rape. You can be left feeling victimized after consensual sex once you discover that the guy isn't going to call you again (or give you a coveted role)---that doesn't make it rape! And here's the clincher from the therapist in a letter to her actress client: "I recall you telling me that it felt coercive to you and that you didn't want to have sex with him, but felt that you had to as he was a man of power and rank and you couldn't say no to his sexual advances." Hmmm---her client says the second time she did say no and that she didn't want to do this, so their statements don't match.

Sexual advances are not sexual assault, or at least the first one isn't. And if a woman doesn't say no, how is a guy supposed to know she doesn't want it? Yeah, I know on college campuses, they are supposed to ask every step of the way if it's okay, but do adults really do this in the real world? Notice the therapist said she felt she had to since he was a man of power and rank. It's not a binary thing where she either wanted to or didn't---there is a third circumstance where women don't want to but acquiesce to keep the peace, get a marriage proposal, be supported, earn money, get a job/movie roles. The morality of this is troubling, but it shouldn't be illegal for either males or females to do this.
