In the eyes of Trump supporters, anyone who disagrees with or opposes Trump is a Lib (or RINO), making any and everything he does defensible on some level.Things with no apparent upside like ending net neutrality can be shrugged off at sticking it to the libs. Everything is justifiable by the simple fact that there is opposition. The opposition is the enemy and upsetting the enemy is good.

Humans are pack animals. We form tribes.

Trump is a tribal leader and he has his tribe of loyal followers. Anyone on the outside of the tribe is an “evil” outsider: an evil “liberal.”

When you live a miserable existence, often times you get joy from seeing others miserable too. This is really a bi-partisan problem even if sticking it to the “libs” seems more prevalent today

I am starting to wonder if all of us “libs” (read: anyone who has a problem with some or all of what Trump proposes to do, regardless of what their actual party status or leaning is) should start pretending to hate things we want, so those who like sticking back it to the “libs” will happily comply.

Good idea.

Universal healthcare is pure evil.

Here is what I see. For God knows what reason, a lot of people in this country are angry, frustrated, and they do not trust any established entity. They held these feelings inside for a long time, evidently, and when Donald Trump came on the scene, he was their voice and their instrument to stick it to everyone on the other side and in government. They also fostered deep feelings about anyone who is "not like them", be it Muslims, Mexicans, immigrants , blacks, etc, etc. Their attitude is "Take care of me first, the Hell with everyone else."

We, on our side, were pretty happy with life and the way things were. We care about the plight of others and , while we wanted safeguards at our borders, we did not want to wall anyone out. We realize this country was built on diversity and acceptance, and we also care about people who can not afford health insurance or the basics of life.

While we see Donald Trump as a lifelong cheater of the system, cheater of everyone he has had dealings with, rude arrogant as Hell, and dumb as a cucumber, they see those factors as attributes. The ruder and cruder he gets, the more he lies and fabricates, and the more he destroys everything we hold dear, the better they like it.

That is why our two sides are so far apart and basically do not like each other.

Someone needs to let Trump know how rich Obama is and how much he'll benefit from Trump's tax plan.

(Full disclosure, I totally lifted this from a late-night comedian but don't remember which one.)

Please, please, conservatives, don't let us have health care.

We would also love to return to the era of the Industrial Revolution when the fat cats made all the money and the people worked seven days a week at menial jobs that didn't pay enough to live on. Please take us backwards so we call all relive those days.
