Demographic change is dangerous, it is going to get worse. I have nothing negative to say about president Obama, but even he couldn't fix racism in this country.
I think whites should remain majority for this country. This doesn't mean minorities should be treated as second class citizens. If you are talking about American culture, I think whites and blacks created this culture. Not PC for me to say ? so be it.
Excuse me? Does that mean my contributions as an Asian American aren't recognized or valid? And that I'm always going to be the "other"? and never the "mainstream"?
Trump has emboldened racists, homophobes, xenophobes, and Nazis through his repeated failure to denounce them when they show up somewhere. Yes, indeed, you can lay this directly at his feet.
A politician can't help that there are some idiots who support them. That doesn't mean that they agree with their ideology. The La Raza groups and brown/black supremacists supported Obama also. They have no control over it. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Trump himself did not embrace racism, homophobics, xenophobes or Nazis so how did he embolden them? Did Obama publicly denounce the racists that supported him? Try again!
Then why come to America? Just to reap economic benefits, and not embrace its culture, and traditions? Right, or wrong, America is a traditional European culture because that is who started it, and made it THRIVE. Nobody is saying they have to ignore their previous culture, foods, holidays, traditions etc.
If you want to be Mexican, just stay in Mexico. Easy Peasy.
Well, some of these folks who came here had to come here because of US foreign policy affecting their country. Like Salvadorian Death Squads. Or NAFTA impacting their livelihood.

Come off it.
As a fellow racial minority, I've long made peace with being the "other". Revel in the exoticism and it can never be used against you.

Actually, I totally disagree because it tends to marginalize my community as never being "so-called real Americans". And get scapegoated for things that happen in Asia as well as not being taken seriously as integral partners in the American society.
Fortunately, there's strength in increasing numbers and time. We're part of the mainstream in cities like San Francisco (where sadly, the first Asian American mayor just died suddenly), and the majority in Hawaii. Just like being Tejano is part and parcel of Texas. Or Cajun/Creole in New Orleans.
The woman is an idiot. There are a lot of them around. But I think videos like this detract for the idea that people in this country who live here should know how to speak English.
People don't have to get triggered by someone telling them to speak the language, nor do the cops need to be called. This faux racist climate has created a mob mentality.
