He is certainly not a loser.

For a judge? Is this some sort of trick question? If a mechanic doesn't know what a spark plug is, would you let him work on your car? Except a judge's decisions has far more wide-ranging consequences than a bad transmission repair, and he can't be fired.

There are people trying to defend this clown, I seriously do not get it.

You guys claim to be all about the individual over the state, right? A judge is the state's representative and he wields colossal power over the individuals coming though his courtroom. Yet when faced with this manifestly, demonstrably, incapable individual, you brush it off or make a "both sides are bad" comment.

If you believed for a second in your professed ideals, you'd be up in arms against this nomination, and you know it. This is party over country in action, and it's shameful.

Democrats are so fast to bash Trump but in the end the Democrats House of Cards is coming down now and it goes faster down then they ever expected!

Supreme Court also overturned the travel ban that the 9th circuit court said was not legal to ban. The 9th circuit leftwing biased judges have to learn some based constitutional law!
And this has to do with an unqualified judicial nominee how?

Its one thing to have partisan picks but quite another to put unqualified hacks into the courts. Grassley and the senate basically ignored the blue slip process, he used to be a big proponent of the system the last 8 years but not this year. I don't know why this administration hates qualified and educated people.
Might have a case as to his qualifications until you consider the 9th circuit of experienced judges who have more than 80% of their cases overturned. Knowledge of the law does them no good.

But, But OBAMA! What does that have to do with Trump appointing supremely unqualified people?

The guy had never even TAKEN A DEPOSITION. He's never argued a motion; never tried a case; could not even answer what a motion in limine was - something a first year claim adjuster probably knows.

Your boy Trump is incompetent and hires incompetent people.

This has nothing to do with the topic.

Or do you prescribe to the notion of "two wrongs make a right"?

This guy appears to be extensively unqualified for this position. Please stay on topic.

You are incorrect. About 99% of their cases stand. Of the 1% that make it to appeal, they are above average in their overturn rate-but not by that much to be honest. Your talking point is the height of deception designed to reduce our faith in our courts by misrepresenting them.

I knew we were in for a couple of doozies when Grassley specifically asked Trump to pull 2 of his nominations.

Most people can recognize when someone is qualified regardless of political affiliation or orientation. This guy is a dud. If I were conservative I would not want a dolt like that on that high of a court. I would want someone with more knowledge and a stronger skillset. There are plenty of Conservative and Republican lawyers who are perfectly well qualifies- why waste an appointment on this dunce?
