If that meteor hadn’t killed off the dinosaurs millions of years ago, Romney never would have lost to Obama. Because there wouldn’t be any humans.

Yes, it’s probably true that if Romney would have won, Trump wouldn’t be in office. But it’s also completely irrelevant. We can play “what if” with anything.

If Gavarillo Princip wouldn’t have assassinated the Archduke of Austria-Hungary in 1914, things would have turned out differently.

And we can go even further: if the earth hadn’t formed out of a cloud of debris orbiting the sun, Trump would probably not be in office right now.

We needed Trump to wake people up to what a Fascist regime would look like here in the US. We needed him to destroy the apathy so many voters have felt for a generation. People are now engaged like never before and in 2018 we'll begin the process of dismantling not only Trump but the GOP itself.

.
Not necessarily. WW1 was inevitable. If Princip didn't start it something else would have sparked it off.

The assumption is that we would have an "improving economy" under Romney. I'm not so sure.

Default Had Romney won in 2012, Trump would not be president today

If Kerry had won in 2004, Romney wouldn't have run and tRump would still be a guest on Howard Stern.

IF is a big word.

Wrong. The voters had already made their minds up about GHW Bush. He was mired in the 30s during the 1992 campaign whether it was a 2 man race or 3 man race.

Perot, Bush, Clinton
