Unskilled labor becomes expendable. Invest in yourself, find a skill.

My local Costco had four self serve checkouts for about a year. I'm not sure why, but the self serve checkouts were closed down several months ago. either customers didn't like using them or management didn't find them useful to their business.

No, there is no reason for anyone to sell anything for less than what they can get for their product.

Tell us first how Walmart, which will benefit greatly from the corporate tax cuts, will use these tax cuts to create jobs when they are now trending toward replacing cashiers with automation.

We have been creating jobs for 8 straight years. The president himself has been saying job creation is off the charts. Next month the job report will be the same as before, but this time he will credit the tax bill. You are too easy.

Walmart was already the largest employer in US, but we will see how robotics will change that. Of course the robots were coming with, or without tax bills.

Given the WalMart cashiers I've met-this shouldn't be too difficult.

We should leave the crappy jobs to robots and work on training and education and creating real jobs.

First off, it is walmarts money, you should have no say in what they do with it anymore than they do with your money. And seeing what the state spends the money on,I have no problem with walmart keeping its money.
Historically, increases in efficiency have led to overall job creation.
