No. You are poorly informed. the senate needs 60 votes to pass the resolution. the house has passed the resolution to keep the government open for a few weeks at least, already.

Because of the hardline Republican stance, they managed to win the entire government despite running a grossly unqualified orange clown for president, followed by a bunch of regressive twits down-ticket who's biggest dreams are taking American back to the 1950's or 1850's and destroying all the social safety nets so everyone is screwed.

The Republican basically proved that this tactic works and one can follow it up with victory even when presenting the worst agendas combined with useless candidates, so I don't see why anybody is shocked if the Democrats try the same thing.
that is your opinion. my opinion is the country rejected everything Obama stood for as evidenced by the 1000 plus national and state elections lost by democrats during his reign. trump didn't win because of the "hardline republican stance". he won because the country rejected progressivism, a corrupt dem presidential nominee, and business as usual in Washington.

The spending bill passed both houses. The senate vote was 66-32 - very bipartisan. Thread fail.

Expected news. This thread, like so many others, was full of fake outrage, and propaganda.

It is at the sole discretion of the President what gets shutdown and what gets paid. That was on Obama to get people mad and create an illusion. It didn't work.
You do realize a "government shutdown" is only 17% of the government.
