I've been a member of City-Data forums for 11 years, what's your point?

A business meant for the masses taking a political stance is never a wise a decision but they are of course free to to do that. I just want them to make it loud and clear they are doing that.

They did anyway and got away with it while the bakers and florists and photographers and firefighters got punished under 8 years of King Buttcrack Obummerlini III.

I can say this, after 8 years of the Marxist dictator and the 1 year of Leftist temper tantrums and attacks on liberty that followed, I now despise them as much as they despise me. I hope they're happy!

Why is everyone who opposes the Left's agenda being labeled as racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted white nationalists?

Also, you're naive if you think FB is that great. It data mines you (I thought you liberals hated that, whereas I heard these right-wing sites at least promised to protect privacy) and they update so much and change the layout that it drives you nuts! Youtube is too big for its own good (even Google, a big giant itself, is part of some megacorp called the ABC corp or something.)

Firefighters? What?

You're conflating multiple topics.

For one: the baker case is not final.

2) you can't refuse service based on gender or race. But you can certainly refuse service for other reasons, such as hate speech or content deemed inappropriate.

City-data, the site you're posting on, has terms of use. Guess what? If you violate those, you will be refused service.

Don't like it? Take it up with the courts. Good luck.

Ask the founders of Ben and Jerry's what their political persuasions are?
Many billionaires believe in "income redistribution", including Warren Buffet. Bill Gates believes in giving ALL his money away to those losers in poverty and disease.

The Dude who finances a lot of the Sierra Club and other anti-coal stuff - he's from CA - he's definitely a democratic socialist, as I suppose dozens if not hundreds of multi-millionaires are.

Isabel Dos Santos, the richest woman in Africa, is hated by big oil for sharing profits with the people.

The real difference is that "Socialist Billionaires and Rich People" don't want to control the country - they want to help it and the people:

"At the end of the day, billionaires who function in non-capitalist countries are completely different than their financial peers in the west. Unlike the ruling class of western capitalist, these wealthy people are not the rulers, but are merely well paid functionaries, helping to carry out the government’s agenda of development. The “socialist billionaires” spend their lives acquiring foreign investments, and overseeing nominally private entities, and yes, getting very well compensated in the process. But at the end of the day, they have no real “economic freedom.” They do not rule over the country, rather, the country’s state, dependent on a tightly organized and politicized population, rules over them."

So it's as I always say - the USA is no "for the people". It's for the billionaires. It should be for the people - because that is what our founding documents put forward. But you've been bought off...to think that only rich people are capable of controlling the state.

Interesting point that Facebook and similar companies have every right to remove all alt-right or even far right content and people from their site.

It really is the exact same thing as the cake. It's against our religion (mostly Judaism, but also humanism and Buddhism and real Christianity) to deal with this jokers.

I think we all know that the righties would be kicking and screaming if they were dropped from FB, Twitter and even google (+, chat, etc.).....due to their "religious and political" beliefs.

But - they will go to the wall for a Baker or the owner of a Hobby Shop.

I would call this hypocritical behavior. Just like I call the right claiming the debt was going to sink us...the same...and then raising it and refusing to even talk about it.

I have to wonder if they realize that we know they are doing this? Or do they just think because nothing is happening instantly that we all forgot?

Conservative republicans are, by definition, risk averse and conservative-- they won't be winning a lot of innovation contest, if you know what I mean. They are good at being fast followers, at least the ones who are above average intelligent. They will not be responsible for many of the groundbreaking inventions that change society and improve lives, but they will adopt the solutions once they are available. Be patient with your fellow republican conservatives. They need extra help in our fast paced world, but with encouragement and coaching they can be productive members of society.

As I keep saying, their sites, their rules.

If conservatives want their own sites, it’s up to them to create and use them.
