And if you don't know who he is -- you didn't pay much attention to Trump during his campaign did you?
Point is -- Latinos are being treated differently. I know some that have had the same thing.
That's the point of the article - -not WHO Jorge Ramos is. But you missed the intent because you got lost on the name.
"Latinos" are not being treated any differently. (You know, besides almost being uniquely coddled and accommodated and not even encouraged to assimilate anymore unlike the millions of immigrants from other cultures that came before them to the United States).
Illegal immigrants have always been the focus of Trump's derision, and if people like Ramos had the intellectual consistency and willingness, they would actually help their communities understand and gain context that is often loss in these translated conversations.
But, "help help, we're being oppressed!" is really good for minority focused media. Ramos is having the time of his life setting himself up as the voice of "Latino Resistance" against Trump. He has literally been given life the way people like Rush Limbaugh, etc. grew their base as opposers to Obama.
Saying you're "Speaking Truth to Power" can really inflate ones sense of importance.
Jorge Ramos is one of the most prominent news anchors at Univision, which is watched not only by millions of Latinos in the United States, but by even more millions across Latin America.
He is a peddler of divisive racism and an absolute apologist for illegal immigration in the US, which he believes the US is uniquely responsible to accept (compared to his own home country, which is not soft on illegal immigration).
Just because *you* don't know what he is doesn't mean he isn't impactful in a community that often relies on him to synthesize English language news. Latinos are being fed garbage from Spanish language media that just isn't true.
All that to say he is a dysfunctional propaganda loon on the verge of meltdown because his fantasy is imploding.
Unfortunately for Jorge, his position directly violates the solemn oath he swore in order to become a naturalized citizen of these United States:

Obviously, voting in the elections of one's country of origin after having taken the oath to become a naturalized American citizen is completely inconsistent with having renounced and abjured all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign state or sovereignty to which one has heretofore been a subject or citizen.
On the basis of this evidence, the paramount question arises: if Jorge Ramos is willing to lie in such a craven manner for the purposes of his naturalization oath, then can there be anything he will not lie about?
