Looking past one's flaws is one thing - using that as an argument to elect the leader of the free world is just laughable.

You're not making any sense. You're essentially arguing that Christians should NOT vote based on their values or beliefs. I'm not sure why it's so hard to understand that it's about future results, not about what a candidate did or didn't do in the past.
