More winning. As we approach the Inaugural Anniversary of The United States of America's 45th President, Donald J. Trump,

Not only has named Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, reinforcing the high court’s conservative ranks. An additional six of the president’s nominees have been confirmed to sit on federal District Courts and 12 to federal Appeals Courts.

More on the way.

And none too soon. The radical, activist Leftist 9th circuit court on the west coast especially need to be cleaned up fast.

Guess the Senate will change the blue slip rule now that the Ds can stop a nomination.

How many times were Obamas nominations stopped due to blue slips?

IIRC, he finally gave up nominating anybody. All this tells me is that Republicans do not understand the concept of being fair. If they do , it is ignored.

It is their way or the highway.

Blue slips were never a rule. Rather a 100 year old ‘courtesy’, whereby the home state senators of a nominee were given a heads up that a nominee for a federal judgement was under consideration in the Judicial Committee. As in so many things, it got abused and morphed into a ‘blocking’ strategy. The late senator, Al Franken, tried using it this past term. He simply did not return his blue slip, which a timely return was also part of the original courtesy protocol.

Blue slip is dead. The former Senator Harry Reid started the ball rolling, down that slippery slope. Be careful what you wish for.
