... is to get people to believe what they tell them, instead of what people see on the street with their own eyes.
Against the odds, Trump's agenda owned 2017
The first year of Donald Trump's presidency has, in many ways, been exactly what you would expect: Trump has continued to drive his opponents — and sometimes his allies — batty with his predictable unpredictability, distracting the media and dominating the national conversation, all the while implementing many of the major policy initiatives he promised in his sweep into office.
Political pundits, media elites and pollsters decree that the presidency is on shaky ground. They'll note that the president remains divisive, with record high unfavorable ratings. There’s no way he and the GOP can survive this.
Sound familiar? It’s the same mistake most of them made in 2016. Americans may not always like the “way” President Trump does his job, but they do like a lot of “what” he is doing.
The media focuses of job approval rating. They continue to extrapolate Trump and what he said a decade ago, into Trump now committing sexual assault - which is unproven. They continue to say he's a racist - when he isn't. They continue to prop up the notion that he colluded in the election with the Russian... which is unproven after 17 months of investigation. They continue to hang on to his Twitter account.
Meanwhile...
- The standard unemployment rate fell from 4.8 percent in January 2017 to 4.1 percent
- The U-6 unemployment rate fell from 9.4 percent in January 2017 to 8 percent.
- Wages have risen by more than 2.5 percent over the last year.
- Illegal immigration is at a 17 year low
- The Trump administration successfully cut the corporate tax rate — something that Democrats and Republicans alike knew for years was needed to make American companies competitive internationally.
- Clean Power Act, net neutrality - repealed - these are burdens that hinder the economy
- The tax bill will add income to 80% of the tax paying public per the Tax Policy Foundation
These are the things that affect regular Americans.
The Propaganda Left (which include some on City-Data) wants you to forgot about what is happening concerning the positive aspects of the Trump Administration, and have people believe their propaganda instead.
