I'm not even sure the Democrats will field a candidate in 2020. The party is in crisis,

Everybody loved Donald Trump until he announced his presidential run in 2015 as a Republican. Then the leftist MSM tried everything to attack him because they favored Hillary more.

who? if Trump has his base locked up, no challenger has a chance in his party. That candidate would be hated. Trump kept his promises on taxes, repealing the Obamacare mandate, putting conservative judges on the bench, why would the base turn on him and for who, the RINOS from the Bush administration, going back to the Bush era?

Trump is a sitting President with all the money advantage he didn't have in 2016, he only has to beat 1 candidate, whoever comes out beat up in the Democrat side and that primary is going to be ugly with the lefty/socialists versus the moderates for the control of the party. Whoever wins the Democrat nomination has to go sooooo left and then flip-flop to the middle and Trump will just destroy that candidate.

Trump beat 18 candidates who had an 8 to 1 money advantage over him in 2016......in 2020 all he has to do is beat one candidate.......I like his chances better in 2020 than 2016.

You got the right idea, and I hope that I'm not too far behind. If America is a country that wants this man as their President, what kind of country is it?

I voted "no," but I overestimated my fellow countrymen in 2016, so...

Hard to answer without knowing the opponent and the shape of the economy and etc near election day.

If the Democrats rig their primary to run a corrupt corporate shill like they did with Hillary then probably. Recent polling suggests that Trump would actually fair better in a rematch TODAY with Hillary than he did a year ago, even with as unpopular as he is.

The DNC screwed up when they ran Hillary instead of Bernie. Then, they ignored many of the smaller states and called everyone who didn't support them deplorables. Donald Trump won the election and the dems/libs can't grasp why he won. Instead of taking responsibility for their defeat and coming up with a better strategy so they can win, they're just going to attack Trump and people who supported him.

+1. By 2020, Trump will either:

a) be resigned, or

b) decide not to run again, or

c) die of natural causes.

Trump is a fluke one-and-done President.

Trump in 2016 had to go through what a NFL wild card team has to go through to get to the Super Bowl. He had to beat a 17 candidate primary and against the GOP establishment and then go beat the heavy favorite Hillary Clinton in the Super Bowl who outspent him 8 to 1.

Trump in 2020, only has to beat 1 candidate....that's like an NFL team getting 3 bye weeks and playing in the SB against the team that played in the wild card and is beat up.

if you ask Trump which path he rather take, 2016 or 2020, he will take the 2020 path anytime. All he has to do is beat 1 candidate as a sitting President, a candidate that will get beat up of over 12 months in the Democrat Primary by other Democrats.
