After losing Virginia and Alabama........ the Reddest states in America, I can't wait to see the other R-E-D states they're going to lose.......let alone BLUE states!
I hate to break it to you (not really ), but Virginia isn't....and hasn't recently been....one of the two reddest states in America.

McDonald's? I make $52k/year driving a semi-tractor and I only get $18.17/week back. I doubt min wage workers will get more than $3-$4/week back if anything

I only save $18.17/week making $52k/year. $52k/year is a middle class wage last I checked

Depends on where you are. In some areas $52K is top rate, in others it's pretty much poverty level. In fact, and I'm not going to link a PDF, it's about $5K below the 2016 median family income. It is above the $44.6K individual median of 2015.

Per capita in this metro is $27k/year to give you an idea
What does a blue state Republican do when their party just created a one party tax plan designed to target blue states and colleges? Do they tell the blue state "Sorry, but re-elect me so I can make it even worse"?
Really looking forward to seeing Republicans in blue states trying to run for re-election after this.

how much benefit could a minimum wage worker see when they already pay little or no federal income taxes?

OK, so you're in one of those areas, which many people don't want to recognize, where you're doing way above the norm. Transfer your $56K to, say, Seattle and you're probably bottom feeding.
There are hundreds (thousands?) of places in the US where $18/hour is top rate.
