Not true, what ivy league university did you go to? If its not an ivy league university, then of course its tier 2.

You know for a person that has the user name with the word "informed", you sure do like to prove that you are not.

Why? They probably had higher test scores and better academic credentials than you did. Was it jealousy? Were you angry because they ruined the grading curve in your classes? ASU is a mediocre school, at best. Admitted students are just slightly above the National test score average, and that National average includes test takers who don't even go to college.

Anything below the top 75 or so is 2nd tier.

Yes, and my college degree has proven to be invaluable regarding obtaining jobs. Employers want a college degree.

College teaches you how to think independently and rationally.

The Carnegie Foundation. Ranking is usually heavily weighted by admitted students' test scores and academic credentials.

There may be some entertainment value but that is not enough. We clearly do not have enough college graduates in this country. Some posters exemplify the issue.

Mediocre schools do not attract top teaching talent. And when the admitted class has mediocre abilities, the curriculum is watered down. It's why an Engineering grad from GA Tech is far more likely to be hired than an engineering grad from Iowa State U.

A college education isn't equal regardless of the institution attended. I'm sorry, but it's not.
