In fairness, California is home to the largest illegal immigration population, which is comprised of mostly poorer people, and the most millionaires and billionaires in the country. California is also the state with the highest illiteracy rate. likely due to large numbers of illegals residing in this state as well.

Shocking number of Homeless people- Downtown Los Angeles Christmas day

Los Angeles has an estimate 20,000 homeless people living on the street mainly in Skid Row. Downtown LA.
Many have erected tents and tarps to form shelter.
The area is consired to be one of the most dangerous places in LA.
Pretty much all liberal enclaves in the US have very high income inequality and the conservative areas have much much lower income inequality.

Just this morning in San Francisco, on my way to work, there were 5 homeless people sleeping on the street or in doorways with either cardboard or old clothes on the ground to protect from the cold. All of this happening in less than half a mile & all in a fairly respectable part of the city i.e. inner Richmond district.

The homeless have now been prevented from camping in GG park as the DPW continues to thin out any vegetation around the park in their efforts to rid the park area of homeless camps. Only problem now is that with more presence of the displaced homeless from GG Park onto the streets has caused public safety issues relating to human feces and waste on the streets in addition to unleashed dogs presenting an increased hazard level for pedestrians and residents alike.

What is most apparent in San Francisco is the typical Liberal response to the chronic social issues facing the city. Usually, taking the form of an extra yoga mat in the Subaru crossover along with a bigger bumper sticker with some sage saying and the more obscure the source the better. They need to stop with the faux social justice posturing and admit they are no different than an educated Trump voter from a redneck state. The results seen on our SF streets are evidence enough of Liberal hypocrisy and tacit acceptance of growing income inequality.

Eh, not entirely true...

Also, if you compare developed countries, the U.S has the highest income inequality against countries which are more "liberal" in comparison, in terms of social spending that is.

Coastal California is structured similarly to banana republics in terms of income distributions. There is an ultra rich elite, the poor and not a whole lot in between. It's simply too expensive to be middle class in coastal CA. Now go inland a ways to the central valley or inland empire, and CA quickly becomes a fairly typical American state again. But the coasties all love to make fun of the people living in the central valley or the desert.

As far as the homeless, liberal politicians don't give a hoot about the homeless. They are a tool to show how empathetic and caring they are and nothing more.

The weather forecast in LA today is a balmy 78.

Should come as no surprise that all kinds of people prefer to live in California versus say, Erie, Pa which experienced 5' of snow over Christmas.

In terms of income inequality, there's not a whole lot of difference between California and Texas.
We don't have that kind of homeless in Florida we have homeless but not cities of them, a nice 75 degrees today

No, while it’s not the only reason, the weather there does play into why there are so many. Would you rather be homeless right now in California or in North Dakota, where it is apparently 9* right now.
