Blue states are in for a mass exodus

Watch out....these blue voters may move to a purple state, and shazam! those states will become blue.

Careful what you wish for.

Your homeowners insurance rate is substantially cheaper than Florida and Texas. And no need for flood insurance.

Texas holds the record for most repeat flood insurance claims. This was true before the Hurricanes of 2016 and will likely remain true going forward.

Yea, and their birthrates are off the charts Every State will be blues and purple soon. The GOP needs to import conservatives from elsewhere to keep up.

That would actually be a really stupid thing to do. They'll just end up with the same problem they fled: state and local taxes that are too high.

The GOP purposely targeted blue states (with the GOP tax plan) to make them suffer. It could backfire on the GOP if lots of blue voters spread into purple and red states and continue voting blue.

I live in Texas and have never seen anyone open carrying. I’m quite sure there are plenty of concealed carriers though, but no troubles so far.

Why no mention of West Virginia experiencing the greatest population decline?

Illinois lost 37,508 residents last year, bringing its population to 12.8 million.

Illinois loses more residents in 2016 than any other state - Chicago Tribune

As I sit here in Illinois, it's 5 degrees outside and I need to get out and shovel last night's snow. Moving South seems attractive at this time of year. Husband could retire any year now. But where?

Most Southern states have a higher income tax rate than my own. Those that don't tax income, have high property taxes and home insurance rates due to likelihood of a natural disaster. Then there's the summer.
True, it’s always a wash in the end on taxes. The states are going to get their revenue somehow.

In two days the minimum wage in California will be increased to $11.00/hour. If anything we might see an exodus from cheapskate red states that only pay $7.25/hr.

What, so they can live in a tent? That $11/hour isn’t going to give them a livable wage in California.
