“Why is the United States Post Office, which is losing many billions of dollars a year, while charging Amazon and others so little to deliver their packages, making Amazon richer and the Post Office dumber and poorer? Should be charging MUCH MORE!”
Someone should tell him about buying in bulk and why businesses, not just the Post Office, offer discounts for volume. And Amazon sends out a hella lot of packages.
The problem will sort itself out soon. The majority of my Amazon packages have been delivered straight from the Amazon distribution in the KC Metro area here. Can't wait to subsidize the USPS further when they no longer handle Amazon's wares. Careful what you wish for Mr.President.
But I don't do much in the way of online shopping anyways, I like to support brick and mortar retailers and those who work for them.
I never really understood the attraction of online shopping anyway. I like to see and touch things that I'm buying before I commit to a purchase and if I have to take it back, I can just take it back to the store I bought it in.
The only time I buy online is when it's something that I just can't find in a store.
But in a way I can see Trump's point.
Amazon and online shopping in general has been taking a toll on retailers and jobs.
"Trump's blistering tweet, his first of the day, was issued hours after The Washington Post -- the newspaper owned by Amazon chairman Jeff Bezos -- ran an editorial with the headline, "Mr. Trump gives comfort to racists." "
Find it disturbing that someone would think cons would boycott a company like good little child like democrats who found no problem being told , 'we have to pass it to find out what is in it'.
Cons don't send daily reminders to choreograph protests and update forbidden retailers, words and books.
