As for the "rapists" Trump referred to, the news at the time was full of stories about illegal alien women and girls being raped by Mexican human smugglers/traffickers.
Of course, we're expected to not look at the context and let the anti-Trumps play semantic games.

Sorry, not buying it, libs.
Trump's current disapproval rating is 53%. Do you think 53% of the people in the U.S. are "libs"? I can guarantee you that a substantial portion of that 53% are to the right of center like myself. George Will, William Crystal, Michael Gerson, Mike Murphy, Jennifer Rubin, Michael Steele, Jeff Flake, Kathleen Parker, Jim Corker, Joe Scarborough, Mitt Romney, etc., etc. They're all conservative politicians and political commentators and they all think Trump is an idiot. Even Trump's own secretary of state has called him an idiot.
Did Chris Mathews get axed? I hadn't heard anything about him at all -- missed this thread -- but spotted the article today about Mathews not showing up for a TV appearance.
According to a former NBC producer and executive who were at the network when the payment was made, the woman left the network “overnight” after she filed the complaint. The former executive, who was intimately familiar with the payment, claimed that the woman had specifically complained about Matthews making rape jokes. MSNBC did not immediately return a request for comment on Matthews’ canceled appearance.

Well, I would love to discuss it, but it revolves around him telling a joke about Hillary...and well, any mention of Hillary...Makes me "totally obsessed" with the old beyotch
