If we head into a recession before November 2020, Trump is toast and rightfully so.
Don't try to understand Trump. This is a guy who got 5 cents on the dollar for his Taj (Casino) investment. That is, he lost 95% of his and investors and taxpayers money.

This is hard for a real human being to understand, but if you gave Trump two buttons - and asked him to push one....

Button one says Peace on Earth, good markets, happy Americans BUT Donald Trump must never be heard from again in the headlines, etc....

Button two says "no matter what I desire to be the focus of everyone in the world at all times....for what, I don't care"....

He'd push the later. He's a child...except most children have some level of caring for others.

Hard for normal people to understand, but if you try to make sense of him you will go nuts.

So the middle of your post above sounds like you trying to make sense of him, which explains the part I highlighted in red. It all makes so much sense now.

One just has to resign themselves that he's inhuman...or inhumane...or, in general, doesn't have the same ethics and morals as most Americans.

Some could call is Sociopathy...but I think it's a combo of that and other things, including a very low intelligence (Dunning Kruger).....

We all try to make sense of the world. If we took Trump to 100 different mental health experts we'd have 100 different diagnoses, but chances are a lot of them would have similarities in the Sociopath realm.

He's a lot like Mars.

Orange/red-ish.

No atmosphere.

Void of intelligent life.

I’m fearful of the racist and destructive campaign trump is going to try and run if the economy does actually go into recession.

Everyone knows market corrections come, recessions too... it's not if, but when. I do see a slow down, but not recession at this time. Our country has room to grow.
The action in the bond market with the 10 year dipping below the 2 year has been a traditional predictor of a recession. Whether this is a blip or leading to something more serious time will tell, but the last seven times it occurred a recession did follow. The last time the 10 year dipped below the 2 year was 2007. It doesn't mean a recession is imminent, but the warning signs are certainly there and that helped the decline today.

Donald Trump is a simple but complex man. To understand what comes out of that brain of his would keep a team of psychiatrists busy into the next century.

The biggest factor is that he is simply not educated or smart enough to handle something as complicated as running this country. He may be ok at real estate deals, where he can bully someone around, but this is totally different. The way he has damaged our relationships around the world is so telling.

Secondly, he is a very flawed human being. Childish beyond belief, gets butt hurt if the wind blows the wrong way, CAN NOT CONTROL HIMSELF, and thinks he can do this job alone. He feels he is smarter than anyone else, and he rebels when someone tries to help or educate him. He is an absolute embarrassment, the way he has to make up baby names for anyone he disagrees with.

And, finally, he is crooked as Hell. He no more cares about the welfare of this nation than the man in the moon, he only cares about what is in it for him. He only got elected because he found enough like minded people who have a distinct hatred for anyone trying to come to this country, and they now have a voice.

For anyone who is interested, here is some history on how another outcast came to power, and , what is really scary are the similarities to what we have witnessed post 2016.

As a military history buff, you couldn't be more wrong.

LOTS of similarities. Trump and his base are largely neo-NAZIs.

Ever metric shows a strong US economy. In fact, the US economy keeps out preforming predictions.

When wages begin dropping, job growth goes negative, unemployment steadily climbs, and the GDP goes negative, then you can say the sighs are there, but the complete opposite is currently happening.
