Sheriff Clarke to face trial for Facebook taunts | TheHill

Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. will face trial for taunting a man on Facebook, who Clarke said showed him disrespect at an airport last year.

Clarke is set to stand trial on Jan. 22 after he called Daniel Black a "snowflake" on Facebook after Black said he exercised his First Amendment right during his incident with Clarke.

“Cheer up, snowflake ... if Sheriff Clarke were to really harass you, you wouldn’t be around to whine about it," one post from Clarke said.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Perhaps he'll get to spend some time in one of his lovely prisons.

Agree, couldn't happen to a better guy. Amazing how quickly he fell from the grace of Conservatives.

That seems harsh for a facebook post but there were other factors at play.

If he abused his power and hassled someone for no reason, he brought this on himself. If it was simply the facebook post, it probably wouldn't have gone this far.

Yes, but the FBI investigated the claims that Clarke harassed this guy, and found no wrong doing.

This trail is over calling someone a snowflake. LoL

Wow..what a relief! I am so glad trials for murderers, rapists and armed robberies can be put on the back burner so we can focus on real heinous crimes like this...Notice how the stupid liberal so called "elites" scream fascism any time tries to silence a radical left wing commie, yet lick their chops in glee becuz some one they dont like should be sent to prison for calling someone a snowflake...i weep for the future

There’s far more to the story. Clark had officers meet him, when exiting the airport. He used the power of the police to intimidate this man. He’s one of the few public figures I dislike more than Trump.
