I bet Tim Horton's employees in Ontario feel a bit upset by this. At first some of them no doubt were excited that minimum wage was increasing from $11.60 to $14.00 an hour.
Then they find out that Tim Horton's has responded by making the employees pay more for their healthcare and has cut paid breaks during the day....completely wiping out their gains and actually costing some workers at the lower end in total compensation.
