An independent panel I would think. Of course with the system being so corrupt such as it is that would be hard. The people are so blind with hate towards the other party that something has to be done.
The media and those in office work hard to divide us look at this forum. It's like watching immure fight over the only toy in the room.

Again we the people are no longer IF we ever were.

I think if we can drum bias out of news (good luck LOL) then the news would do their jobs for the people and expose the weaknesses of candidates. That is the way the system is supposed to work.

Imagine taking the bias out of news? All day cable news would disappear along with all that advertising money.

In more normal times our elected President endures a longer public/political vetting process with ongoing scrutiny by other pols, staff and of course the public. So wack-o's are generally fairly well defined before they take office.

Before we elect another president, or allow them to toss their hat into the ring, should they be tested first not just for their safety but ours as well?
If that ever became US law, then the field of psychiatry would become 100% dominated by liberal Democrats.
