Not with this particular company. Their earnings dropped over 20% last year and they missed their targets for all 4 quarters.

And $15 min wages won't help their financials .

$15 min wage will be law by 2020 which is just around the corner .

Casual-dining restaurants are losing business to more upscale offerings at cheaper fast-food chains.

When higher costs are shoved at all business owners not all business owners can absorb it so they have to adjust.

We'll soon hear "Well if they can't afford it then they shouldn't be in business".
Give it time as things don't look rosy for this company.

It could also be a second or third job for someone looking to make extra.

Yeah I always hear people say that "if they can't afford to pay their workers"

Most people don't realize the economics of the restaurant business .

It's a pretty low profit margin business by nature .

It's going to be bad for the small mom and pops but McDonald's will probably do well since they already have the technology and resources to automate .

It's a shame people don't realize how bad this really is for small business. Or they simply don't care .

True and often seems to be the case . Many I'm guessing live at home or are college students too .

McDonalds are mostly mom and pops. Remember they are FRANCHISES. The franchisee is often a little guy, the franchisor (McDonalds Corp) is a real estate, and burger supply company for the most part.
