Actually it's Republicans who hate the USA as it is today. The America they love is an idealized image that supposedly existed over half a century ago. You know, an America where white Protestant men called all the shots, women were on the kitchen, prayer and Bible study was forced on children in public schools, gays were in the closet, few people had college degrees, and "those people" stayed on their side of the tracks. That is the America Republicans love. They cannot accept the diverse, pluralistic nation this is today so they are doing their best to destroy it.
