I give polls as much credit for being right about as far as I can throw a pollster, while on a tightrope, drunk.

But if this is actually correct it appears he may be moving in the right direction. We all want him to succeed, don't we?

Back in August, he hit his all-time low of 62% disapproval to 38% approval.

This week, again according to Rasmussen he's at 53% disapproval to 46% approval. While still under water, it is a swing of 8 points in the right direction.

Do you think he'll be above water this year? He only needs a swing of 4 more points (in this poll) to do so.

I actually do believe he can and probably will once April 15th has come and gone.

People are thankful for the tax breaks and they understand the economy is roaring.

interesting. However the reality is that the majority still disapprove of him despite the economy and tax changes says a lot. I don't see many other likely bumps for him. And some significant pitfalls.

He will be reelected.

The only thing that can stop it is liberals moving into fly over country.

People in the coastal bubble will vote the same and flyover country will too.

So what's the plan to defeat him ?

His health won't stop him.

If he has hemorrhoids they are Chuck and Nancy. Leaders of the S-Hol party.

You do not seem to realize that it is the die-hard progressives in CA, WA, OR, and NYC who will disapprove of him no matter what good he does. A spiteful bunch they are.

Are there bad things about him, of course. He's a flaming dolt, to be honest, but he is also being hammered more than every other president, including Obama.

Forget getting a fair chance, the progressives aren't giving him a chance at all. If he healed all the sick in the country they would complain how he's destroying the medical industry.

CA was the only reason he lost the popular vote. We're a state that cares more about a D than substance.

I guess what you're implying is that people are too polarized to make rational decisions.

I agree with that for sure.

Rasmussen also says Oprah Winfrey would beat Trump by 10 points in 2020.

Oprah vs. The Donald

Except their poll is in Jan of 2018. He does have 34 more months at the very least. I sure hope he figures out how to moderate his words a bit, tweet a little less. go into the weeds a lot less, and keeps taking his chainsaw to regulations and previous EOs.

If he can do that, he'll most likely be in for a 2nd term.

We'll see if the left can actually create a platform of policy rather than just "resisting Trump" otherwise he wouldn't have to change because they'll crash and burn on their own... again!

Keep in mind I did preface this thread with how much I don't trust polls.

Liberals couldn't make it in fly over country. There aren't enough taxpayers in fly over country to support them.

Trump is above water. I saw him getting into a car today.

How manyof the people polled weren't even Americans though?

Take out the illegals and all the foreigners and I wonder what the percentages would be?

Better yet, ask people that were born in this country, and whose parents were born in the country, and I bet you he'd have a majority approval rating.

Truth is all the invaders and interlopers hate Trump because he is going to send them packing...as they should be.
