great leaders are never saints, even really good people who do great things like MLK.

also, great leaders' behaviors should be judged in context of their time. Unless, of course, they were white, male, founding fathers. in that case, harshly judging and condemning them based on today's standards is mandatory regardless of their contributions to the establishment of this nation.

Easy answer. None of them is running for political office in today’s political environment. They didn’t have instant info scattered through Twitter, Fox News, CNN, etc. Daddy Racist Ronald Reagan actually posited MLK’s “adultery” as a reason not to give him a Federal holiday.

It's like we have a double racial standard.

I noticed every white guy accused of sexual harassment at Fox news was quickly removed from Bill O'Reilly to James Rosen, all great news people. But the one black guy on Fox news accused of sexual harassment was allowed to stay on.

The news media back in the 60s was covering up for MLK and the whole so-called civil rights marches and hid the debauchery that was going on and witnessed by observers..kind of like they did with the BLM movement.
