We'll decide what's rude, at this point, not attending, shouting "You lie", it's all fair game since Republicans did it first.

I honestly have no idea, but it's hardly a mass walk out. I don't care one way or another. Trump will come to the Capitol, give his speech, and then head back to the White House or Mar-a-Lago or some golf course, as is his privilege. The Congress critters can do the same. Or not as the case may be.

I think you represent the mindset of some who still think childhood responses like "well....he did it to me first, momma" is a valid adult response and justification for bad behavior.

Republicans set a standard that Democrats are only to happy to reciprocate. Looking forward to taking a SCJ at some point as well. We have eight years of payback saved up.

Exactly.

There are a lot of traditions and norms that aren't stamped in stone or written in law, but rather mutually agreed upon ways of conducting business.

When Republicans no longer follow those traditions and norms, then that's that. Out the window they go.

For example, McConnell blocked the well-qualified Judge Garland's nomination to the Supreme Court. It will be a cold day in hell before Democrats go along with confirming a Republican nomination to the Court.

And so it goes.

IIRC, there was fuss over demanding that Democrats attend Trump's inauguration.

What is this demand that people show up and listen to Trump all about?

Good times.
And yet STILL accomplishes more for this country, the economy, and minorities than his predecessor. Good times, indeed.

To not attend, makes one more of a bystander than a protestor.
It is the attendees that will be seen, that will have the cameras on them. How are they reacting, are they clapping or not, etc.
Simple protesting can make a big statement...frowns at the things being said, not standing or clapping to show you do not agree. People will see, they will know what that attendant thinks by the actions they show.
Face your competitor..eye to eye. Show the disapproval. Being there can make a grander statement.

What a selfish naracists! The Black caucus is right now a group of people who are looking to seek attention for the wrong cause and trying to divide.

There are a lot of black people who are also appalled by their actions which means they don't even serve the group they should stand up for!

Kick them out as they want Cadillac health care but not show up for work!
I agree, they are being paid to do a job.

I would prefer that they not go, rather than shout out some moronic remark like that rude idiot Joe Wilson did to Obama during a speech.

Don't force anyone to go. We're not Russia yet.

I love how the extreme righties are so insistent that the Dems respect a former reality show host, after they treated Obama like crap for 8 years.
