We have plenty of low skill folks losing their jobs to automation (self checkouts and kiosks).

Sure the US would like to "save the world" but at what expense ?
We have no shortage of unskilled labor here in the US.

And if you read the full story you'll see that 40% never go home.

Haitians were removed from a list of foreigners able to able for the visas. This has nothing to do with low-skilled US citizens. This is simply a move against Haitians.

Good, we have too many people that need jobs who are citizens. Why do you protect immigrants at the expense of citizens? What gene morphed the wrong way for you to do that? Science needs to know so it can be corrected.
